To identify your part, check the yellow Boxabl serial plate inside the electrical panel door; the third digit indicates the production series (A-series through D-series as of early 2025). A-series and B-series used 1.5-inch drain lines with shallow-slope pan connectors; C-series and later moved to 2-inch drains with deeper flanges. This matters because an A-series pan dropped into a C-series wet floor will leave a 0.75-inch gap at the drain coupling. Everything else crosses into work that affects the module’s structural warranty and your safety. The shower pan sits on a steel frame with specific deflection limits; cut the pan wrong and you transfer load to the module floor in ways the engineer didn’t design for. The wet wall waterproofing is a continuous system; a gap at the membrane seam sends water into the wall cavity, and by the time you see staining, the steel stud has already begun section loss. We do not recommend homeowner demolition of any wet wall in a steel-framed module.
